On writing

Both Stephen King in  his book  “On Writing”  and George Orwell  in essay  “Politics and the English Language” recommend to get rid of adverbs. Three adverbs in brackets (see below in bold) are an abomination  – but it feels right. I’ll see what BiteSize Bio editor would do to them.

Have you ever wondered how the media can write (often cringingly inaccurately) about a paper in a scientific journal, which is published on the same day?
